1. Yes, because of many new advancemernts in science and technology, especially in medicine, man’s life will be better. Man no longer fear or fear anxious about incurable diseases, which were considered fatal ones, such as cancer, diabets, smallpox…
2. In the future, three things might happen, I think.
First, man can travel into outerspace : to the moon, and other planets in the universe. Next, all dometic chores are done by machine or by robots, and finally, offices will go electronic and people can do most of things with computers such as shopping, buying goods or tickets,..

Trong tương lai cuộc sống sẽ như thế nào? Nhiều người khác nhau có những câu trả lời khác nhau cho câu hỏi này: một số người bi quan trong khi nhiều người khác lạc quan.
Những người bi quan nói mọi việc sẽ tệ hơn hiện nay nhiều. Toàn thế giới sẽ trải qua một thời kì kinh tế trì trệ. Nhiều tổng công ty lớn sẽ bị xóa sổ và hàng triệu việc làm sẽ mất. Sự an toàn của trái đất sẽ bị đe dọa bởi chủ nghĩa khủng bố vì những nhóm khủng bố sẽ mạnh hơn và nguy hiểm hơn. Trái lại những người lạc quan tin rằng cuộc sống tốt đẹp hơn ngày nay nhiều. Chúng ta sẽ sống trong một môi trường sạch sẽ hơn nhiều, hít thở không khí lành mạnh hơn, và ăn thức ăn bổ dưỡng hơn. Chúng ta cũng sẽ được chăm sóc tốt hơn bởi hệ thống y tế hiện đại hơn. Các công việc nhà sẽ không còn là gánh nặng nhờ những phát minh những phương tiện tiết kiệm lao động.
Dù tốt hơn hay xấu hơn, người ta chắc chắn rằng trong tương lai một số điều sẽ khác hẳn. Những phát triển trong kĩ thuật vi-mô – máy tính và viễn thông chắc chắn có nhiều ảnh hưởng đến nhiều khía cạnh khác nhau của đời sống chúng ta. Thí dụ việc làm. Người máy sẽ làm đa số công việc trong nhà máy. vì thế chúng sẽ là những nơi sạch sẽ hơn cho ít người hơn làm việc nơi đó. Cũng thế, các văn phòng sẽ trở nên điện tử hóa với hậu quả là giấy sẽ gần như hoàn toàn biến mất. Nhiều người sẽ làm việc tại nhà hơn trên máy tính được nối kết với văn phòng chính. Đối với du lịch, có thể kĩ thuật tàu con thoi không gian sẽ được sử dụng trong du lịch hàng không thông thường đạt đến tốc độ đến 15.000 cây số một giờ. Xe sẽ vẫn còn tồn tại với chúng ta, nhưng thay vì bằng xăng, chúng sẽ chạy bằng bất kì thứ gì từ điện đến khí mê-tan. Chúng sẽ được lắp đặt với máy tính để bảo chúng ta rằng chúng ta đang lái xe hiệu quả thế nào và có điều gì bất ổn trên đường phía trước không.
Dù chúng ta mong đợi bất kì điều gì ở tương lai, hãy nhớ rằng tiến bộ không bao giờ đi trên đường thẳng tắp, và lịch sử đầy những phát triển bất ngờ. Work in groups. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of robots. (Làm việc từng nhóm. Thảo luận những điều lợi và bất lợi của người máy.)
A : In the future, most work will be done by robots. Certainly there are advantages and disadvanlages both, I think. What advantages do you think can result from it?
B : First, life will be easier and safer. And we can save much labour from factory work to household chores.
C: Dangerous work will be done by robots, so workers are prevented from deadly risks at work.
D : As a result of this, man will have more leisure time to enjoy life, do more creative work or charity activities.
B : Bui in my opinion, there are also disadvantages about robots. The major disadvantage is so many people will lose their jobs for much more work will be done by machine or automatically.
C : Next, you may get lazy because of much free time.
A : In addition, the maintenance cost is high because of high and complicated technology.
B : Whatever it may happen, man’s life in the future is certainly easier and more comfortable if we know how to use these modem devices wisely.
