Hoa meets Tim at the airport.
Tim: Hoa. I’d like you to meet my parents and my sister. Shannon.
Hoa: How do you do? Welcome to Viet Nam.
Mrs Jones: Thank you. It’s nice to meet you finally, Hoa.
Hoa: Can I help you with your bags. Mrs. Jones?
Mrs. Jones: Thank you. It’s great to be in Viet Nam.
Hoa: Would you mind sitting in the front seat of the taxi, Mr. Jones: I’d like to sit with Tim and Shannon.
Mr. Jones: No problem. I prefer the front seat.
Mrs. Jones: Are we far from Ha Noi?
Hoa: It’s about a 40-minute drive from the city center.
Tim: Look. Shannon! I can see a boy riding a water buffalo
Shannon: Wow! This is very exciting. Are those rice paddies, Hoa?
Hoa: Yes. and the crop over there is com. On the left, you can see sugar canes.
Tim: Would you mind if I took a photo?
Hoa: Not at all. I’ll ask the driver to stop the car.

Hoa: Chú ngồi hàng ghế trước chú Jones nhé. Cháu thích ngồi cùng Tim và Shannon.
Ông Jones: Ô không sao. chú thích ngồi đằng trước mà.
Bà Jones: Chúng ta đang ở xa Hà Nội phải không?
Hoa: Dạ lái xe khoảng 40 phút nữa thì vào trung tâm thành phố.
Tim: Nhìn kìa Shannon! Anh thấy một cậu bé đang cưỡi trâu đấy.
Shannon: Ồ, thật là thú vị. Kia là những cánh đồng lúa hả chị Hoa?

Hoa: Đúng vậy. Đằng kia là ngô. Còn phía bên trái là cây mía đấy.
Tim: Mình chụp ảnh nhé!
